Strategy: How to Aim for IIT Bombay

  1. Target a JEE Advanced rank inside top 200 to be safe for most branches (not just CSE).
  2. CSE requires top 70 CRL: prepare for a minimum score of 290+ out of 360 in JEE Advanced.
  3. Use mock test percentile correlations to estimate your rank accurately in the final 3 months.
  4. Study with peers targeting similar ranks. Peer benchmarking reveals gaps you wouldn't find studying alone.
  5. Start branch selection research in October–November of Class 12 to understand all options.
